Privacy Policy
Last updated 12 August 2026
This policy explains how Oracle Daily ("we", "us"), operator of oracledaily.app, handles personal information for visitors and subscribers in the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Canada and Australia. Oracle Daily is the data controller for the information described below.
1. Information we collect
- Birth details you enter: your name (or the name you choose to give), date of birth, time of birth and city of birth. For compatibility readings, the same details for a second person.
- Contact details: your email address, if you subscribe to daily horoscopes or purchase a plan.
- Timezone: detected from your browser so daily horoscopes arrive at 9am your local time.
- Usage and analytics data: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser information, and key actions (for example, starting a reading), collected via Google Analytics 4.
- Payment data: handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
Some jurisdictions treat information that may reveal beliefs as sensitive. Where that applies, you provide your birth details voluntarily and consent to their use for producing your readings.
2. How we use your information
- To generate your astrology, numerology and tarot readings and reports.
- To send the daily horoscope email you subscribed to, at your local morning time.
- To process purchases, manage subscriptions and provide customer support.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.
- To understand aggregate usage and improve the Service.
Legal bases under UK/EU GDPR: performance of a contract (delivering the readings and subscription you requested), consent (marketing emails and analytics cookies, withdrawable at any time), and our legitimate interests (security, service improvement).
3. We do not sell your data
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months. We do not rent or trade your email address.
4. Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers who process data only on our instructions and under contract:
- Our cloud database and hosting provider (storing subscriber records securely).
- An AI provider that generates reading text from the details you submit.
- Our email delivery provider, for sending daily horoscopes and service emails.
- Google Analytics, for aggregate website analytics.
Some providers operate outside your country. Where personal data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent lawful transfer mechanism.
5. Security and retention
Data is stored on managed infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest, row-level access controls, and access restricted to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
We keep subscriber details for as long as your subscription is active and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Records required for tax and accounting are kept for the period the law requires.
6. Email marketing and unsubscribing
You only receive daily horoscopes and service emails if you asked for them. Every email includes a one-click "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom; clicking it removes you from the list immediately. You can also email us to be removed. We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act (US), PECR and UK GDPR (UK), CASL (Canada) and the Spam Act 2003 (Australia).
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information ("right to erasure").
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.
- Data portability, where applicable.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights (US states).
These rights arise under the UK and EU GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended) and comparable US state laws, PIPEDA in Canada, and the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles.
8. How to request deletion of your data
Email oracledaily.support@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject line "Delete my data". We will verify your request, delete your subscriber record and birth details, and confirm within 30 days (or sooner where the law requires). You may also unsubscribe from any email first to stop communications immediately.
9. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies and local browser storage to remember your birth details and subscription state on your device, and Google Analytics 4 cookies to measure aggregate usage. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; essential functionality may be affected.
10. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes and complaints
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date shows the current version. If you have a concern, contact us first. You also have the right to complain to your regulator — for example the UK Information Commissioner's Office, your EU supervisory authority, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
